As elsewhere around the globe, the real estate market around here is down, with houses barely or not selling, and people owing more than what the house is now worth. However, there are places that command premium prices and we happen to have one of them. Unfortunately the current occupants are loath to give it up.
That's right, it is the chicken coop.
The rafters are prime property each evening as they roost. But each day the nest boxes get filled with hens laying eggs. Everyone has their favorite spot. And sometimes, if that prime spot of property is taken, they double up.
While I am not sure which came first, the chicken or the egg, I am sure one of these girls was first in the nest box.
Happy hens lay happy eggs.
